The Colts were stunned in a 27-20 loss to the AFC South-rival Jacksonville Jaguars in their road opener. Free-agent addition QB Philip Rivers completed 36 of 46 pass attempts for 363 yards with one score but two interceptions. RB Marlon Mack was lost for the rest of the season due to a torn Achilles.

The Vikings were dropped 43-34 by the NFC North-rival Green Bay Packers. RB Dalvin Cook rushed for two touchdowns but just 50 yards. QB Kirk Cousins threw for 259 yards and two TDs with an interception.
