The Indiana Fever (2-8) and New York Liberty (6-2) meet Sunday in a Commissioner’s Cup game at Barclays Center. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET (NBA TV). Let’s analyze FanDuel Sportsbook’s lines around the Fever vs. Liberty odds, and make our expert WNBA picks and predictions.

Season series: Liberty lead 2-0

The Fever are coming off an emotional 71-70 home win as 1.5-point underdogs over the Chicago Sky Saturday. It was G Caitlin Clark‘s 1st career home victory, and it came at the expense of fellow rookie and nemesis F Angel Reese.

Clark ended up with just 11 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists with a pair of 3-pointers in 37 minutes. G Kelsey Mitchell led Indiana with 18 points, while F Nalyssa Smith chipped in with 17 points, 9 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals and a blocked shot.

After losing a pair of games — to the Sky at home and the Minnesota Lynx on the road — the Liberty have bounced back with a pair of wins against the visiting Phoenix Mercury Wednesday and the Washington Mystics Friday. However, the Liberty have failed to cover in 6 straight since blasting the Fever 102-66 on May 16 as 8.5-point favorites in the 1st meeting in Indianapolis.

In the most recent meeting in Brooklyn, the Liberty won 91-80, but the Fever hung on for the cover as 13-point underdogs with the Over (169) connecting.

Fever at Liberty picks and predictions

Prediction

Liberty 92, Fever 81

Moneyline

New York (-1500) will cost 15 times your potential return. That’s a crazy amount of risk for such a small profit. Even as part of a multi-team parlay, including the Liberty sucks all of the value out of your ticket.

AVOID and look to the spread instead.

Against the spread

INDIANA +15 (-110) is worth a look in this 2nd end of a back-to-back situation for Clark and Co.

Hopefully things go better for the Fever in this back-to-back than it did in its first one this season. The Fever won the front end of consecutive games on May 24 at the LA Sparks as slight favorites, but they were pounded 99-80 at Las Vegas the next day.

Still, New York has failed to cover the past 6 outings, it didn’t cover at home in the most recent meeting with Indiana, and it is 0-6 ATS as a double-digit favorite this season.

Over/Under

OVER 167 (-110) is the way to go.

We saw a ton of defense in Indiana’s matinee game against Chicago Saturday. If this plays out like the first back-to-back for the Fever, we should see plenty of points.

The Under cashed May 24 in Los Angeles, but with no rest, Indiana went to Las Vegas and cashed the Over the next day.

As it stands, the Over is 3-1 in the past 4 games for the Fever, while going 6-2 across the past 8 outings. That streak started in New York May 18.
