Though some things change, a lot of things stay the same. The unpredictability of the NFL draft is alive and well as there’s been a vast difference in value between the way draft analysts value players and the way the NFL teams do.
One such example is Oklahoma Sooners defensive tackle [autotag]Perrion Winfrey[/autotag]. Winfrey, after his MVP Senior Bowl performance looked like a player that could push for late first-round pick territory. Unfortunately, that hasn’t come to fruition as Winfrey has gone undrafted through the first three rounds of the 2022 NFL draft.
In nearly every [autotag]mock draft[/autotag] we’ve written about here on Sooners Wire, the former OU defensive tackle was well within the top 100 and often was taken for a team in the second round in mock drafts.
Heading into day three Perrion Winfrey represents one of the great values in the draft. Someone who has top 50 upside and can be a starting interior defensive lineman and provide pass rush ability immediately.
