In a nutshell — will Myers be able to spend a lot of money as he and the rest of the front office aim to get Golden State back to title contention? “I don’t know,” Myers told reporters during a Monday afternoon conference call. “Depending on the economics, we have to be smart and pragmatic. I can only look at past history where Joe (Lacob) has always been receptive to spending if it helps us win. We’re in a very unique situation now. I have no idea what the future holds as far as some of the parameters. “But I do know that we have an ownership group that is aggressive, and always seems to push the limits. Resources have always been a huge positive in our organization. It’s a nice thing to have. Again, I only know what I’ve seen and been around, which is we’ve been spending a lot in the past.”
