New York Knicks rookie Immanuel Quickley returned from a four-game absence on Saturday to help his team pull out the 106-102 win over the Indiana Pacers.
Quickley produced nine points, two assists and one rebound while he shot 3-of-4 from the field in 15 minutes off the bench in his first game back since the season opener on Dec. 23. He previously suffered a hip pointer but returned and looked to be effective on the court.
The 25th overall pick helped give New York a big spark off the bench in the first half, recording seven points before halftime. He entered the game and immediately helped make an impact given his playmaking ability and defensive effort.
Afterward, Quickley earned some praise from head coach Tom Thibodeau.
Knicks coach Tom Thibodeau on Immanuel Quickley: “He’s really talented, he’s smart, and he’s a great worker. I love his attitude. I love his approach. He’s going to be a really good player in this league for a long time.”

The addition of Quickley will give the Knicks a needed boost off the bench now that he appears to be healthy again. He only logged 15 minutes on Saturday, likely in an effort to ease him back into action, so he should play a larger role moving forward.
