Iman Shumpert doubtful against Hornets, Nic Claxton out

The Brooklyn Nets may be without one of their top defenders off the bench on Wednesday when they play the Charlotte Hornets.

Nic Claxton suffered a hamstring injury while he was with the Long Island Nets on Monday. He returned to Brooklyn on Tuesday, along with Rodions Kurucs, but will not be available for Brooklyn on Wednesday. The Nets rookie has been ruled out against the Charlotte Hornets due to left hamstring soreness.

The Nets could also be without wing Iman Shumpert, who signed with the team on November 13, did not play in Brooklyn’s game on November 14, but has appeared in every game since. He is doubtful due to left knee soreness.

Brooklyn will also be without Kyrie Irving (right shoulder impingement) and Caris Levert (right thumb surgery).

LeVert has progressed with his rehab and is finally getting shots up.

Irving is even further along than his partner in the backcourt. He took part in on-court work on Tuesday.
