Four-star defensive lineman Jason Dowell from Cahokia High School (East Saint Louis, Ill.) would be a big get for USC entering the Big Ten. Dowell stands at 6-foot-4 and weighs 275 pounds. He is rated the No. 286 player nationally and is the sixth-highest rated recruit from Illinois according to 247 Sports composite. He received an offer from USC earlier this summer.
The 2025 class junior also been heavily recruited by Cincinnati, Auburn, Illinois, Oregon, Iowa State, Notre Dame and many more.
Dowell is a legitimate high-major interior defensive lineman who could become impact starter in college with potential to reach the pro level. I think Dowell is one of the more underrated recruit in the Midwest and a hidden gem nationally for the 2025 class.
USC has to be strong in the trenches when it makes the move to the Big Ten Conference. Not only adding an important defensive lineman, but doing so in the heart of Big Ten country, would be quite a statement for the Trojans to make.
Beyond blessed to receive an offer from the University of Southern California!! #AGTG @CoachDocGooden @CoachRoyM pic.twitter.com/TVHrCUarsn
