Illinois at Washington picks and predictions

Prediction

Illinois 85, Washington 73

Moneyline

PASS.

Illinois (-350) is rolling right now and that continues in Seattle. I’ll take my bet to the spread though because I can’t bet 3.5 units to win 1.

Against the spread

BET ILLINOIS -8.5 (-110).

Illinois is riding high after dominating No. 9 Oregon in Eugene and has proven itself against top competition, with non-conference games against Alabama, Arkansas, Missouri, and Tennessee. They won’t be intimidated traveling to Seattle to face Washington.

The Illini have covered in their last 2 games and bring more firepower and balance than the Huskies. Illinois averages 88.2 points per game (PPG) and boasts the Big Ten’s second-best point differential (+21.6). They also dominate the offensive boards, creating plenty of second-chance opportunities.

Washington looked sharp against Maryland, but pulling off another upset against this Illinois squad feels like too tall of a task.

Over/Under

BET OVER 154.5 (-110).

It’s tough to ignore the trends for this matchup. Illinois is putting up close to 90 points a game and has hit the Over in 4 of their last 5 contests. Washington isn’t far behind, going Over in 5 of their last 6 games. With both teams firing offensively, this feels like another game primed to hit the Over.
