If Joe Harris shoots like this every game, the Nets won’t lose

Joe Harris proved how he can unlock the Nets’ offense after his Game 2 performance.

Joe Harris’ performance in Game 2 against the Celtics has analysts and teams scared. The sharpshooter put up 25 points in 29 minutes on 9-for-14 shooting from the field and 7-for-10 shooting from downtown. Following this big time outing, Kevin Durant said in the postgame press conference that “offensively, when Joe (Harris) gets it going like that, it unlocks our whole team.”

Durant is certainly right. If Joe Harris shoots like this or even close to this, it puts the defense in a tough position. Are you going to allow the big three of Kevin Durant, James Harden and Kyrie Irving to attack one-on-one with Blake Griffin waiting under the rim most of the time? Or are you going to double when a player on the big three tries to score and leave Joe Harris open? Pick your poison.

On the Keyshawn, JWill and Zubin show, Alan Hahn expressed his belief after watching Game 2 that the Brooklyn Nets may sweep through the Eastern Conference in four games each series. But five at most. “I watched the Nets in these first two games now that we’ve seen these three guys together on the court, which we didn’t get a lot of that in the regular season, and it convinced me enough to think that there’s no one in the East that has enough to not only stop them … but even just keep up with them offensively. They just seem like they got too much and they don’t need a lot of time to need chemistry.”

If Joe Harris continues to “unlock” this offense, the sky’s the limit for the Brooklyn Nets.
