The Cincinnati Bengals will use the first pick in the 2020 NFL draft on Joe Burrow, barring something dramatically unpredictable.
This is something that has only gained more steam in recent weeks, if not days, especially once word went out that the Bengals had maxed out their permitted time with Burrow over video conference before the draft.
Going over some of this news in a recent video, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport dropped the following gem Bengals fans will be sure to like:
“They have not come out and said they are taking him, but Tom, this looks like the biggest slam dunk we’ve seen in a very long time.”
Great, right? Rapoport also noted the Bengals have merely been helping Burrow understand what he’ll be running upon arrival, including high-level concepts.
All that is stopping the Bengals from drafting Burrow? The calendar.
