In the most anticipated Monday press conference in quite some time at Texas A&M interim head coach Elijah Robinson fielded questions from the media.
Choosing Coach Robinson as the interim head coach was a no-brainer as he is extremely popular with the players and respected around college football. While I think it’s a long shot for him to become the official head coach next year, he will have the chance to make his case in the last three games of the season.
Another big issue was how the team took the news, especially since most of them found out via social media.
“When we talked to the team and addressed them about the transition, I thought those guys handled it really well. Those guys embraced me. They weren’t happy about what happened, but they were ready to move forward.”
Before practice, Elijah Robinson sat down to discuss the firing of Jimbo Fisher and looking forward to the rest of the season.
