Huskers to get visit from four-star cornerback

The Huskers continue to search for talent at the corner position

Class of 2026 four-star corner Devin Jackson will visit Nebraska for their Junior Day next month. Jackson is currently committed to the Florida Gators. Rivals.com’s Tim Verghese reported this on Wednesday.

Jackson is the 42nd overall safety in the 2026 class and the 72nd overall player in his class from the state of Florida per the 247Sports Composite Rankings. He committed to the Gators on July 31. Jackson had five offers during the recruiting process, including from the likes of Florida State and Illinois.

The safety has had a stellar high school career. He recorded 58 tackles, two pass breakups, and a fumble recovery in nine games in 2023, per his statistics on Maxpreps.com.

The Huskers could use additional playmaking safeties for the future. Names such as Caleb Benning and Rahmir Stewart are poised to make an impact in the room down the road. Nevertheless, depth at that position is going to be important for the future. The Huskers are trying to get ahead at recruiting the position, and Jackson is certainly a good place to start.
