The Nebraska Cornhuskers received a walk-on commitment over the weekend. Thomas D’Onofrio is a class of 2024 recruit out of Middleton, Wisconsin.

The defensive back has a scholarship offer from Toledo and also held a walk-on opportunity at Penn State. In 14 games last season, D’Onofrio recorded seven interceptions.

His father, Mark D’Onofrio, was a second-round pick of the Green Bay Packers in the 1992 NFL draft. The elder D’Onofrio was the defensive coordinator at Temple from 2006-2010, while head coach Matt Rhule was an assistant on staff.
