Nebraska landed a commitment on Thursday from Mississippi State Bulldog transfer Gabriel Moore. Moore measures in at 6-foot-4 and 290 pounds. He’s spent two seasons in the SEC but has yet to play a down of college football. He will come to Lincoln with four remaining seasons of eligibility after he redshirted and battled injuries last season.
The Huskers get a player with room to grow on the defensive line. He measures in at six-foot-four, 290 pounds. Multiple seasons of eligibility will be important for a program that looks to replace the likes of Ty Robinson, Nash Hutmacher, James Williams, and Jimari Butler.
This is the second commitment this week for a defensive line unit that is undergoing a makeover. Jaylen George committed to the program on Tuesday.
It will be interesting to see what other additions the Huskers make in the portal. So far, they have managed to add multiple contributors to a program looking to take the next step in 2025.
