Huskers getting visit from playmaking FIU WR next week

Nebraska football will be bringing in FIU wide receiver Eric Rivers for a visit.

FIU transfer wide receiver Eric Rivers is scheduled to visit Nebraska later this month. He is expected to come to Lincoln from December 15-16th.

Rivers has other visits on the table as well. He is visiting Miami from December 13-14, Penn State from December 19-20, and Colorado from December 21-22.

Rivers is the 17th overall player nationally, and eighth overall wide receiver in the On3 transfer portal rankings.

The wideout had 62 catches for 1,172 yards and eight touchdowns last season. The 2024 campaign was a breakout year for him, as the junior was able to establish himself as a big-play threat fully. He averaged 18.9 yards per reception.

The Huskers will certainly have their work cut out for them. There are several solid schools on his visit list. That said, the new Florida connections on the coaching staff could help with this recruitment. Time will tell how it plays out, but the Huskers could be in good shape here.
