2025 four-star tight end Chase Loftin is set to visit Nebraska football for their game against the UCLA Bruins in November, per Rivals.com’s Greg Smith. Loftin initially committed to the Florida State Seminoles on June 29.
Loftin is the 19th overall tight end in the 2025 class and the second overall player in his class from the state of Nebraska per the 247Sports composite rankings. The Huskers were originally thought to have a good chance at landing Loftin over the summer, but he committed to the Seminoles at the end of June.
Landing Loftin would be a big get for a 2025 Nebraska class that ranks 25th nationally. Loftin measures six-foot-six, 215 pounds, and could be a big weapon for the Huskers. Nebraska already has one tight end in the class in Bear Tenney.
It will be interesting to see what the Huskers can do in this recruitment. Florida State is struggling this season, which could allow the program to make a strong impression on Loftin.
