The No. 15 ranked Nebraska soccer team saw their season come to a close on Friday afternoon. The Cornhuskers lost to No. 3 Stanford 2-1 in the NCAA Quarterfinals.
The Huskers finished the season with a record of 17-4-3. That’s the most wins for the soccer program since 2013.
Junior forward Sarah Weber tied the match in regulation with three minutes remaining. Stanford would take the lead in overtime off the foot of Maya Doms.
The game was the Husker’s third NCAA quarterfinal appearance in school history (1996, 1999, 2023). The Cornhuskers are 0-3 all-time in that playoff round.
