Husker offensive tackle transfers to Arizona State

The shuffle in the offensive line room continues.

Nebraska football transfer offensive lineman Xander Ruggeroli committed to the Arizona State Sun Devils on Sunday. Ruggeroli played in one game last season for the program after coming to Lincoln from Bishop Gorman High School.

The latter is one of the top prep football programs in the country. He was a three-star prospect and was the 11th overall player in the state of Nevada, per the 247Sports Rankings.’

Ruggeroli officially committed to Nebraska on December 13, 2023, and entered the transfer portal on December 19, 2024. The tackle received eight offers in total, including from Boston College, Colorado State, Fresno State, and Nevada.

The Huskers have significantly upgraded their offensive line room in the past weeks. Last week, they landed former Alabama Crimson Tide transfer Elijah Pritchett. The program now has additional depth on the line as it looks to make it a position group of strength.
