Husker defensive lineman to enter transfer portal

Vincent Jackson was part of Matt Rhule’s first recruiting class.

Nebraska defensive lineman Vincent Jackson announced on Monday that he was entering the transfer portal. Jackson, who redshirted in the 2023 season, played in ten games this past year and was part of the Huskers’ defensive line.

Jackson was a three-star recruit coming out of high school. According to the 247Sports Rankings, he was the 21st overall player in his class from the state of Pennsylvania. He was part of Matt Rhule’s first recruiting class and officially signed with Nebraska on December 21, 2022.

Nebraska football has already had several players committed to the transfer portal. More could be coming, with Early Signing Day on Wednesday and the 105-man roster limit departures are expected.

Jackson was also recruited by defensive coordinator Tony White, who left to take the same position with the Florida State Seminoles. It will be interesting to see if there is any movement in that regard.
