Nebraska football defensive back DeShon Singleton will return for the 2025 season. Singleton has had a lengthy Huskers career.
He first came to the program in 2022 and has since worked his way to being an integral part of the defense. Singleton had a strong season last year, recording 71 tackles, which ranked second on the team. He started all 13 games after returning from a season-ending injury in 2023.
Singleton’s return to the defense is going to be welcome. There is a solid mix of veteran players and underclassmen as the Blackshirts get to work under first-year defensive coordinator John Butler.
The defensive back will be an important part of the defense as the Huskers look to improve upon their successful 2024 season. He will undoubtedly be a major leader on a defense trying to find its identity.
