Husker athletes “break the bank” in NIL partnership

A Nebraska-based company announces that a NIL deal with the university has brought in almost $1 million in payments for athletes.

A name, image, and likeness (NIL) representation company has announced the launch of a website that will allow individuals and businesses to send support directly to Nebraska athletes. Athlete Branding & Marketing LLC announced on Friday that they had launched N100, a program designed for companies and individuals to support Husker athletes through NIL opportunities in exchange for various levels of access to that athlete. On Friday, ABM President Gerrod Lambrecht said that “N100 will allow our passionate fan base to support NIL opportunities directly.” If that name sounds familiar, Gerrod Lambrecht was the Chief of Staff for the Nebraska Cornhuskers from December 2017 and August 2021. Since leaving in 2021, he has served as the President of ABM.

What will fans receive for supporting players? Lambrecht said that individual members receive access to exclusive contests or events and may even interact in some fashion with the student-athlete they support. “In addition, a business can utilize ABM clients in marketing campaigns and sponsored events,” according to ABM.

ABM also stated that since the company’s partnership with the University began in August of 2021, more than 90 Husker athletes in five different sports have received combined payments of $850,000. The Lincoln-based company also announced that they had raised an additional $3.5 million for NIL-related activities.
