Thursday is the first day of the new evaluation period in college basketball, allowing coaches to go out and watch recruits at AAU events. And to know one’s surprise, the Peach Jam is drawing a crowd of programs.
Among the programs in attendance to watch the event in South Carolina are the North Carolina Tar Heels. Hubert Davis as well as staff members are on hand to check out recruiting targets that are participating in the event.
Right away, the Tar Heels were in attendance to watch five-star forward Caleb Wilson play early on Thursday morning. Per Joe Tipton of On3, Davis was one of the coaches watching Wilson play for Georgia Stars against the Mac Irvin Fire.

John Calipari and Wes Miller were also in attendance.
Wilson is a big recruiting target for North Carolina and the five-star forward even revealed that he plans on visiting the Tar Heels in his recruitment. He’s drawing a lot of interest from big programs like UNC, Duke, Kentucky and Alabama among others, and the way he’s playing that interest should continue.
