Spencer Rattler cruised, Marvin Mims excelled and the defense came to play as Oklahoma had no problem putting away conference foe TCU on Saturday, winning decisively 33-14.

Offensively, the passing game appeared much improved. Rattler connected with his receivers on deep balls throughout. The Sooners averaged 15.1 yards per attempt for the best passing performance they’ve had all year.

As far as running the ball, baby steps are the key: 3.7 yards per carry is a slight bump, but still not what you expect from this offensive line. Run-blocking improvement appears the primary focus for the offense from here on out.

The defense surrendered only a single touchdown until the waning minutes. Its stats of 7.9 yards per attempt and 3.0 yards per carry allowed are wonderful marks. Alex Grinch can hang his hat on this performance from his group.
