How to watch: Texas A&M vs. Ole Miss basketball game

The Aggies will host the Ole Miss Rebels at Reed Arena looking for their third straight SEC win

Texas A&M (13-7, 3-3 SEC) will return to Reed Arena to face the Ole Miss Rebels (16-3, 3-3 SEC) on Saturday at 7:30 PM CST.

The Aggies are rolling but they aren’t on a roll just yet. They have ground out some tough games behind poor shooting nights to pull even in SEC play. Their calling card for the entire season has been offensive rebounding and aggressive defense.

The combo of these two has allowed them to claw their way back into numerous games when it looked like they might have been dead in the water.  If they want to pull above, finally. Sitting at .500 in conference play, the Aggies must start hitting their open shots at a more consistent rate to gain momentum going forward. While their hard-nosed play has worked the past few weeks, shooting below 30% is not a sustainable way to make a deep run late in the season.

Ole Miss has been playing solid basketball all season long but started to stumble once they entered league play. Similar to the Aggies, it’s been a bit of a mixed bag, sometimes looking good and scratching your head at other times. However, when they are on, they can put up a ton of points and have four players that average double digits, with three of them being in the Top 15 scoring. They also shoot close to 40% from the three-point line and will look to take advantage the Aggies’ style of play on that side of the ball.

The A&M SEC opponents are hosting Kentucky, Florida, and Tennessee at Reed Arena to highlight the home slate. The Aggies’ road foes include AlabamaArkansasAuburnGeorgiaLSU, Missouri, Ole Miss, Tennessee, and Vanderbilt.
