For lacrosse fans, the last few days have been full of excitement. The 2023 World Lacrosse Championship in San Diego began on June 21. Six players with Rutgers ties are competing for five different countries, with two coaches participating. While two days’ worth of action is already in the books, there is still plenty to watch for before the tournament ends, especially for Team USA fans.
The United States is off to a strong start after beating Canada on Wednesday 7-5. They are led by Rutgers head coach John Danowski who has been part of three NCAA Tournament teams. In their game on Friday night against Australia, Danowski will be coaching against one of his players, Mitch Baker.
Over the last few days, the top 30 men’s national teams in the world have flocked to California chasing glory. Soon pool play will end, and the playoffs comprising a first round, quarterfinals, semifinals, and medal games, will follow. For Team USA, their schedule ahead is a challenging task.

All the games will be aired on ESPN platforms in the U.S., across ESPN+, ESPNU, and ESPN2. The semifinals on June 29 and the title game on July 1 will be aired on ESPN2. The bronze medal on July 1 and the quarterfinal game on June 28 will be aired on ESPNU.
