The Boston Celtics take on the Houston Rockets in their third and final exhibition scrimmage game on Tuesday, July 28th at 8 p.m. Eastern Time, hoping to leverage the friendly for a final tune-up before the 2019-20 NBA season resumes in earnest.
Houston, whose unorthodox ultra-small “Pocket” Rockets identity has given the Celtics problems in previous meetings, ought to push the team hard yet again as the two fringe-contending teams probe their own strengths and weaknesses.
It’ll also be one last opportunity to see which players on the edge of the rotation might be able to play their way into a bigger role in the remaining eight regular-season games.
