Ja Morant and the Memphis Grizzlies return to competitive action on Friday as the team kicks off its three-game scrimmage schedule ahead of the season restart at the Walt Disney World Resort.

And, Morant couldn’t be happier.

The Grizzlies will face the Philadelphia 76ers on Friday afternoon at 3:30 p.m. ET and Morant tweeted a gif of himself dancing from last summer at the Las Vegas Summer League ahead of the matchup. After watching other teams play on Wednesday and Thursday, Morant finally gets his chance.

The scrimmage games have served as an opportunity for teams to knock off some of the rust and prepare for the season restart on July 30. Teams have used the games to get players back into game shape and solidify rotations before the results matter.

The Grizzlies hold a 3.5-game lead over the Portland Trail Blazers in ninth place ahead of the restart and will have the opportunity to clinch an outright playoff berth or participate in a play-in tournament for the final spot in the Western Conference.

Morant said this week that the team will be taking it one game at a time and will look attack each game the same way. He has remained confident that if the Grizzlies play their style of basketball, they will have a good chance to make the playoffs.

The game can be streamed on Grizzlies.com and on NBC Sports Philadelphia.
