Texas A&M (17-11) is feeling pretty good after getting their first SEC series win of the season over Ole Miss. Texas State (19-9) is not going to be a pushover and is coming over their own series win over Arkansas State.
While the Aggies have not played the Bobcats as much as some of their other in-state rivals, they still have a history dating back to the 1980s. Texas A&M leads the series 47-14 and is currently on a three-game winning streak against them.
Hoping to keep the momentum after defeating the defending national champion Ole Miss Rebels last weekend, the Aggies are looking for a strong midweek showing before taking on Auburn on Thursday.
