LSU has responded nicely since a disappointing loss to open the season, and with several other teams in the top 10 taking losses of their own, the Tigers could soon find themselves moving back up the rankings next week.
First, though, coach Kim Mulkey’s team has to take care of business as it hits the road for its first true road game of the season as it travels to Hammond to face Southeastern Louisiana on Friday night.
The Lions are 2-1 on the year having beaten Millsaps and Southern-New Orleans, but they fell 67-46 in their only game against a ranked opponent in Mississippi State. LSU is hoping for a similar result on the road.
