After a successful opening weekend of the 2023 season last week, the XFL is back in action this week with more than two dozen Denver Broncos players involved.
The second week of the season will kick off on Thursday evening when the Seattle Sea Dragons take on the St. Louis Battlehawks on Feb. 23. The contest will begin at 7 p.m. MT and the game will be televised on FX. Football fans can stream the game on fuboTV (try it free).
St. Louis has just one former Bronco on its roster (WR Darrius Shepherd), but Seattle boasts five: DB Alijah Holder, DB Rojesterman Farris, WR Kelvin McKnight, WR Damion Willis and DB Linden Stephens. In total, 23 ex-Denver players are suiting up in the XFL this spring.
Two other former Broncos — Wade Phillips and Tony Carter — are also coaching in the XFL. Phillips is the head coach in Houston and Carter is the defensive coordinator in Orlando.
After the Sea Dragons-Battlehawks game on Thursday, the XFL will have another game on Saturday followed by two games on Sunday to wrap up Week 2.
