After a 40-14 regular season that saw the team finish 13-11 in SEC play, coach Beth Torina’s LSU Tigers softball squad is set to open its run at the SEC tournament in Fayetteville, Arkansas, on Wednesday morning.
LSU earned the No. 6 seed in Fayetteville in part thanks to an upset over Georgia, which is seeded No. 2, in the final weekend of the regular season. Now, the Tigers start with a battle against No. 11 Ole Miss (29-25, 8-16 SEC) in the first round.
