Florida basketball returns to the court on Wednesday after a lengthy layoff due to both the winter holidays as well as an outbreak of COVID on the team last week. The latter issue led to the postponement of what was supposed to be the Gators’ SEC opener against the Ole Miss Rebels, making today’s game against the Alabama Crimson Tide the beginning of conference play.
The Gators are coming off a very shaky December that saw their perfect 6-0 start circle down the drain, including NET Quadrant 3 and Quadrant 4 losses. Now with two weeks’ worth of rust to shake off, they face one of their tougher conference opponents at home.
