A pair of in-state rivals are preparing to clash in a Big 12 battle on Saturday with the Oklahoma Sooners men’s basketball team hosting the Oklahoma State Cowboys in Norman.
The Sooners are a respectable 17-6 overall this season so far but have been hampered in conference play, hovering at the .500 mark with a 5-5 record. Oklahoma’s last four games have seen it alternate wins in losses, with a victory resulting from its home match with the BYU Cougars.
The Cowboys, on the other hand, have struggled mightily during the 2023-24 campaign, bringing a 10-13 overall record into the weekend with a dismal 2-8 mark against Big 12 peers. Oklahoma State has also alternated wins and losses over their past five games, but the result of last Tuesday’s head-to-head with the Houston Cougars resulted in defeat.
