The Big Ten schedule continues to grind away for the Ohio State Buckeyes men’s basketball team, who host the Maryland Terrapins on Saturday for an intra-conference matchup.
The Buckeyes’ record of 13-10 overall and 3-9 against Big Ten competition looks pretty weak on the surface, but they did manage to upset the Alabama Crimson Tide earlier in the season. However, any mojo gained from the neutral-court win has been negated since conference play began and OSU is currently riding a five-game losing streak into this one.
The Terrapins have been nothing to write home about either, amassing the same overall record as their opponent but a better mark of 5-7 in the Big Ten. However, Maryland has lost its last two and has won just three times in 10 tries away from home.
