The North Carolina Tar Heels did just that on Monday night, defeating defending-champion LSU in extra innings and moving onto the Super Regional stage of college baseball’s postseason.
UNC will now host West Virginia in a best-of-three game matchup, with the winner advancing to the College World Series in Omaha.
