The Wisconsin Badgers host the Purdue Boilermakers on Sunday for a bout between two top-ranked Big Ten men’s basketball heavyweights.
The Badgers are coming off a loss on Thursday at the Nebraska Cornhuskers, dropping their overall record to 16-5 along with an 8-2 mark in conference play. AJ Storr paces Wisconsin — which enters the game ranked sixth in both major polls — with his 16.5 points per game average.
The second-ranked Boilermakers have been even better, currently riding a six-game winning streak that gives them a 20-2 overall mark with the two losses coming in 11 tries against conference competition. Zach Edey is near the very top of the national scoring race, bringing his 23.4 points per game average into this one.

Both teams come in with a pair of Big Ten losses so the winner will take the lead for the top perch in the conference. Additionally, both teams could use the bounce-back win as well, given that Purdue needed overtime to outlast the Northwestern Wildcats at home on Wednesday.
