The 2024 Mid-American Conference men’s basketball tournament will take place at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse in Cleveland from March 14-16.
The Toledo Rockets (20-11) enter the tournament as the No. 1 seed — for a 4th straight season — after finishing 14-4 in conference play. They’ll be hoping for a better outcome this time around, after losing 93-78 in last year’s final to the Kent State Golden Flashes (15-16), who have dropped to the 8th seed in this season’s tournament.
The 2nd-seeded Akron Zips (21-10) were 13-5 in conference play but ended their regular season with back-to-back losses. They’re led by forward Enrique Freeman, who is 6th in the conference in scoring averaging 18.1 points and 1st in rebounding with 12.8 boards per game.

The MAC basketball tournament will run from Thursday, March 14th to Saturday, March 16th.
The Ohio Bobcats (19-12) are the 3rd seed in the tournament, also going 13-5 in conference play. They’ll be looking to bounce back after getting eliminated in an 82-75 semifinals loss against Toledo last season.
The 4th-seeded Central Michigan Chippewas (18-13) were 10-8 against conference opponents and open their tournament with a quarterfinals matchup Thursday against the No. 5 seed Bowling Green Falcons (19-12, 10-8 MAC), who feature arguably the best scorer in the MAC in guard Marcus Hill (20.6 points per game).
At the time of publication, the cheapest available tickets for the MAC basketball tournament are $48.
If you’re looking for a more luxurious experience, the most expensive ticket would only cost you $625.
