The LSU Tigers men’s basketball team will host the Kentucky Wildcats on Wednesday night for a battle between two Southeastern Conference programs looking for much-needed victories for different reasons.
The Tigers have fallen flat this season, amassing a 13-12 overall mark with a 5-7 record against SEC competition. LSU did win its most recent game with an upset at the South Carolina Gamecocks but had lost three in a row prior to that.
The Wildcats have put together another solid campaign, currently holding an 18-7 record overall and an 8-4 mark against conference foes. However, Kentucky has only won three of its last six games which has led to a drop in the rankings and NCAA Tournament seeding.
The LSU Tigers will host the Kentucky Wildcats on Wednesday, Feb. 21 at 9 p.m. ET / 8 p.m. CT.

As noted above, both teams are in need of a win as the home squad could really use a second-straight upset to help right the ship. On the other hand, the visitors have gotten back on track of late but still have some headroom for improvement in the standings.
