The March Madness action begins to crescendo this week as the Big East prepares for its annual college women’s basketball tournament starting on Friday in Uncasville, Connecticut. If you are looking to get in on some of the hottest live action the sport has to offer, you have come to the right place.
The conference is led by a top-10 team, the UConn Huskies, who put up a perfect 18-0 record against fellow Big East schools which gave them a three-game cushion in the final standings. Only the Creighton Bluejays came close with their 15-3 finish, but the rest of the conference lagged far behind the top perch.
Speaking of which, the other end of the spectrum was inhabited by the Xavier Musketeers, whose 0-18 finish provides the yang to UConn’s yin. The league was also split evenly, with five teams finishing both above and below .500 and the 11th member school sitting at an even 9-9.

The Big East women’s basketball conference tournament tips off on Friday, March 9 with the No. 8 seed Butler Bulldogs facing the No. 9 seed Providence Friars inside Mohegan Sun Arena starting at 11 a.m. ET.
Friday’s slate features four games including the opener. The No. 7 seed Seton Hall Pirates match up with the No. 10 seed DePaul Blue Demons follow up the first game, while No. 6 seed Georgetown Hoyas face off with No. 11 seed Xavier.
The action rises to four affairs on Saturday before the semifinals are held on Sunday. The conference title game is scheduled for Monday, March 11 at 7 p.m. ET.
