The 2024 Big East men’s basketball tournament will take place at Madison Square Garden in New York City from March 13-16.
It is officially time for March Madness, and one tournament that has produced many dramatic moments over the years is the Big East men’s basketball tournament. While teams like UConn and Marquette are locked into a spot in the tournament, lower seeds like Xavier and Butler will be hoping to make a run to earn the automatic bid that comes with winning the tournament.
The UConn Huskies (28-3, 18-2 Big East) ended the season with the Big East crown and sit No. 1 in the tournament. Creighton, Marquette and Seton Hall round out the top four in that order. All will have an automatic spot in the quarterfinals. Over the last eight tournaments, it has been Villanova, the current No. 6 seed, that has dominated, winning five of them. Marquette is the reigning champion though and defeated Xavier 65-51 in the 2023 finale.

The tournament will commence on March 13 at 4 p.m. ET at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
This tournament will be featuring at least three teams with an at-large bid, and it certain to be some of college hoops best basketball. That said, in two of the last three tournament, a seed outside of the top three made a run to the final. This tournament has proven itself as can’t-miss basketball and is primed to an underdog to make a deep run.
At the time of publication, the cheapest available tickets for all sessions of the tournament is $581. If you’re looking for a more luxurious experience, the most expensive ticket would only cost you $28,025.
