The Boston Celtics made it four straight wins to begin the season with their demolition of the Indiana Pacers. A significant talent disparity was clear throughout the contest, yet the Celtics never took their foot off the gas. It also helped that Joe Mazzulla and his coaching staff implemented some new actions into their offensive scheme, which appeared to take the Pacers by surprise.
In the latest episode of the “Green With Envy” podcast, hosts Will Weir and Adam Taylor discussed the slight alterations we saw in how the Celtics approached the game against the Pacers compared to when they defeated the Washington Wizards.
Those nuanced changes saw Boston jump out to an early lead and never look back. Of course, a stern defense played a significant part in the 155-104 scoreline, which included another 30-point scoring night from Jayson Tatum.
