How sure are we that the Boston Celtics‘ situation with Malcolm Brogdon is in a good place after the onetime Virginia star was nearly traded to the Los Angeles Clippers. That deal was the first version of the trade that ultimately brought Washington Wizards big man Kristaps Porzingis to the club?

The Celtics need the veteran floor general to play to his potential this season. They also need to sell him on the notion that he will be a valued part of the organization that just tried to deal him away. That’s a tough needle to thread even if Brogdon is mostly disposed to such an opportunity given feelings may still be raw after the aborted swap.
