Last year, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers took a chance on a first-time play-caller by hiring longtime Seattle Seahawks assistant Dave Canales to be their offensive coordinator.
After just one season of solid work with the Bucs, Canales made an even bigger jump in the coaching ranks, leaving Tampa Bay to become the head coach of the division-rival Carolina Panthers.
Canales’ departure left the Bucs going back to the drawing board with their top offensive coaching position, which eventually went to former Los Angeles Rams and University of Kentucky play-caller Liam Coen.
Will the Bucs miss Canales after the progress the offense made under his direction in 2023?
