We’ve reached the inevitable point of this Chicago Bears season where we’re looking past the remaining four games of the schedule and towards what’s shaping up to be a big offseason.
As of Monday night, the Bears have a top-15 draft selection, which you figure will be used to draft either a quarterback or offensive tackle of the future.
But it likely won’t be current general manager Ryan Pace calling the shots following what’s been a dumpster fire of a season, where head coach Matt Nagy and president Ted Phillips’ jobs are also on the line.
Ahead of what’s going to be a busy January, here’s a look at Chicago’s remaining schedule:
- Week 14 – vs. Houston Texans
- Week 15 – at Minnesota Vikings
- Week 16 – vs. Jacksonville Jaguars
- Week 17 – vs. Green Bay Packers
At first glance, there are three winnable games left on the schedule for the Bears, including the Texans, Vikings and Jaguars. But, realistically, Chicago would be lucky to get one or two wins out of those remaining games. Maybe the one-win Jags will be the one to prevent a potential 10-game losing streak?
Depending on whether or not Green Bay will be playing for anything, that regular-season finale could once again get ugly for a Bears defense that hasn’t been the since that Week 12 game.
