Dallas Cowboys’ 2019 season
Dallas was in control of the NFC East but lost four of its final six games to finish the 2019 season 8-8 and miss the postseason, despite having the league’s No. 1 offense and No. 9 defense by yards per game.
They finished 9-7 against the spread and 10-6 on the Over/Under.
Dallas Cowboys’ 2020 offseason changes
The Cowboys parted ways with former head coach Jason Garrett and hired Mike McCarthy. They re-signed WR Amari Cooper to a huge contract and QB Dak Prescott will play the season on the franchise tag.
CB Byron Jones left in free agency but they signed S Ha Ha Clinton-Dix and defensive linemen Dontari Poe and Gerald McCoy in free agency. In the draft, they added WR CeeDee Lamb (Oklahoma), CB Trevon Diggs (Alabama) and defensive lineman Neville Gallimore (Oklahoma).

Projected wins: 9.5 / OVER: -164 / UNDER: +135
Dallas should have one of the most explosive offenses in the league with their talent and a new offensive scheme. They should have a stouter defense up front and in the back end with their free-agent additions. They will be in a two-team race for the NFC East title with the Philadelphia Eagles.
They do have a tough schedule, having to play teams like the 49ers, Seahawks and Ravens, but they get to beat up on teams like Washington and the Giants, as well as play the Bengals. If they don’t win at least 10 games, it will be a failure. Take the OVER 9.5 WINS (-164).

Exact season wins: Bands
0-4 wins: +5000
5-8 wins: +240
9-12 wins: -278
13-16 wins: +1100
The betting favorite is for the Cowboys to win 9-12 games at -278. That doesn’t give you good value, but things have gone very wrong if they win fewer than nine games and winning at least 13 seems unlikely. It is probably their ceiling, but everything has to go right. Your best bet is 9-12 WINS (-278).
Exact wins: Best bet
The betting favorites for exact wins are between 9-11 wins. Ten wins is +270, 9 wins is +300 and 11 wins is +340. This is your sweet spot, stick to this range. My pick for them this year is to finish with 11 wins, so go with that at +340.
