Over the decades of the modern Olympic Games, there have not been many active Boston Celtics representing Team USA. In fact, the last one before Celtics All-Star forward Jayson Tatum was Boston legend Larry Bird, and he was on his way out the door of his NBA career at the time.
But when you shift the scope to Celtics alumni who represented the United States in the Olympics either before or after their time in green and white, the list is actually quite a lengthy one. Dating all the way back to 1948, there have been a total of 18 Boston alumni suiting up for Team USA.
