While the 2021 season might be over for Michigan football and all but two teams, some analysts are getting a jump on who might continue to be at the top of the college football conversation in 2022.

Of course, things are still in flux — not everyone has transferred in or out of their programs, nor has everyone declared for the NFL draft that will ultimately be in that conversation, and not every head coach will necessarily be in their current position — but that hasn’t stopped friend of WolverinesWire Joel Klatt, Fox Sports’ premier color commentator for college football, from weighing in.

Klatt posted his too-early top 10 on Twitter, and Michigan football is still expected to be a top team in his eyes. That’s the good news. The bad news? So is Ohio State, as well as the team that just throttled the Wolverines in the College Football Playoff.

Here’s Klatt’s too early top 10 for 2022, going from No. 10 to No. 1.
