How important was Derrick White to the Boston Celtics’ Game 4 win over the Milwaukee Bucks?

After a rough start to the series, D-White came through in Game 4.

Unfairly pilloried for his play in the first two games of the Eastern Conference semifinals series with the Milwaukee Bucks, Boston Celtics reserve guard Derrick White turned up the heat in Games 3 and 4, becoming a key part of the Celtics’ closing lineup in the critical Game 4 win on Monday.

It seems some fans and analysts were yet to be convinced that the former Spurs guard’s cost in the trade that brought him over from San Antonio at the 2022 NBA trade deadline was worth it, but the do-everything combo guard more than made up for it with play that very well may have saved the Celtics’ postseason ambitions.

The hosts of the CLNS Media “Garden Report” podcast went deep on the subject of White’s contributions to the must-win game after the dust settled on the win Monday night.
