How far did Clemson rise in Week 6 US LBM Coaches Poll after massive week of upsets?

Here’s where Clemson ranks in the Week 6 US LBM Coaches Poll, released Sunday.

For the fifth consecutive week, the Clemson Tigers on are on the rise in the latest US LBM Coaches Poll, released Sunday.

After one of the most improbable weeks in recent college football history, with four top 10 teams falling in upset bids on Saturday, the Tigers moved up three spots to No. 11 in the Week 6 Coaches Poll after their 29-13 victory over the rival Florida State Seminoles.

Clemson’s ranking in the Coaches Poll is their highest since the preseason poll was released in 2023; the Tigers were preseason No. 9 in the coaches poll entering last year. This week’s ranking is also one spot better than their ranking in the final 2022 Coaches Poll (No. 12).

Dabo Swinney’s team is ranked one spot ahead of Notre Dame (No. 12) and one spot below LSU (No. 10) in this week’s poll.

Elsewhere in the ACC, Louisville fell out of the Top 25 following their 34-27 upset loss at home to the SMU Mustangs. SMU (5-1) and the Pitt Panthers (5-0), the only other undefeated team in the ACC besides Miami, rounded out the Top 25 with Pitt at No. 24 and SMU No. 25.
