How Dimitry Nicolas’ commitment affects Auburn’s 2024 recruiting ranking

Auburn is inching closer to a top-10 ranking after filling a key need on Friday.

Auburn football filled a key need within its 2024 recruiting class on Friday.

Three-star defensive lineman [autotag]Dimitry Nicolas[/autotag] announced his commitment to Hugh Freeze and the Tigers on Friday, choosing Auburn over Florida, Miami, and Pittsburgh.

Although there are a few days remaining in August, Nicolas’ commitment is a fitting way to end the month for Auburn on the recruiting trail. In August, Auburn landed three commitments for the 2024 cycle, and another to their 2025 haul.

Nicolas joins four-star DL [autotag]TJ Lindsey[/autotag] and four-star CB [autotag]Jalewis Solomon[/autotag] as recruits to announce their pledges to Auburn this month, bringing the total number of commits to 16. Auburn has been on a tear lately, but they will still need to continue working to increase their total number of commits. Missouri, Kentucky, and South Carolina have fewer commits than Auburn, while Mississippi State and Texas boast the same number of commits as Auburn.

Following the commitment of three-star DL Dimitry Nicolas, here is a look at where Auburn stacks up with the rest of the SEC.
